Free To Be Me Community Preschool in Mar Vista Los Angeles
Gatherings
Family fun events will take place once a month. Families meet at a local park or beach and enjoy a potluck meal together. There is also a community camping trip each spring.
Trainings
An early child development professional, skilled in working
with families and their young children joins us every other month at our parent/teacher training at a fee of $25 per family.
This is a time for our community to come together to discuss a topic relevant to our philosophy. The goal is to create a bridge of consistency between home and the preschool environment
for families. At least one parent from each family is required to attend these meeting.
Fundraising
A parent committee is formed in September to organize fundraising
for the year including one big event in the spring that every family is required to participate in or donate a non-participation fee.
The non-participation fee is decided by the parent
committee and agreed upon by all the families prior to
the event-taking place.
